On May 19, Ambassador Ren Hongyan met with Mr. Brendon Butts, Chairman of Trinidad and Tobago National Commission for UNESCO. The two exchanged views on cooperation in the fields of education and culture.

Ambassador Ren learned about the operation of the Trinidad and Tobago National Commission for UNESCO and expressed the willingness to maintain close communication with the Commission to further strengthen cooperation between China and Trinidad and Tobago in areas including higher education and youth development.

Mr. Butts appreciated China's achievements in education development and looked forward to more practical cooperation with the Embassy.
