On May 28, H.E.Ambassador Ren Hongyan visited the Sugarcane Feed Center and met with Dr. Lisa Musai, Chief Veterinary Officer (Ag.), Dr. Anil Ramnanan, Adviser to the Minister of Agriculture and other officers.

The visit provided a briefing on the Center's operations and Trinidad and Tobago's ongoing efforts in modernizing its agricultural sector. Ambassador Ren emphasized that agriculture is central to food security and national well-being, noting that Trinidad and Tobago's agricultural modernization presents strong potential for deeper cooperation. He expressed China’s readiness to work with Trinidad and Tobago to strengthen practical collaboration in modern agriculture initiatives.

T&T officials welcomed the visit and reaffirmed their interest in maintaining close engagement with China on agricultural development projects.
