On June 5, 2026, the Chinese Embassy in Grenada hosted the launching ceremony of the "China in My Eyes" Short Video and Essay Competition and the Event for the International Day of Dialogue among Civilizations. H.E. Yang Shu, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Grenada, Mr. Kelvin Jacob, Chief Cultural Officer in the Ministry of Tourism, Creative Economy and Culture, along with approximately 50 local students attended the event. Amb.Yang elaborated on the profound connotations of the Global Civilization Initiative proposed by President Xi Jinping and the significance of the United Nations' "International Day of Dialogue among Civilizations." He stated that the Embassy launched the "China in My Eyes" Short Video and Article Competition with the aim of enhancing mutual learning and promoting dialogue among civilizations with Grenada. He expressed hope that people from various sectors in Grenada would actively participate in the competition, thereby fostering greater mutual understanding between the two peoples.
