On September 9, 2026, Mr. Zhou Yi, Head of the Economic and Commercial Section, and Mr. Li Yunpeng, Head of the Political and Press Section of the Chinese Embassy in The Bahamas, met with Ms. Keyshan Bastian, President of the Bahamas Technical and Vocational Institute (BTVI). Attaché Ms. Lin Zhengqing of the Embassy, attended the meeting. The two sides exchanged views on China-Bahamas vocational education cooperation and people-to-people and cultural exchanges.
