On September 16, 2026, the Chinese Embassy in Grenada, hosted a reception to celebrate the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. The reception was joined by H.E.Yang Shu, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Grenada, H.E. Dame Cécile La Grenade, Governor-General of Grenada, Hon. Dickon Mitchell, Prime Minister of Grenada and more than 150 distinguished guests .

Amb. Yang introduced China's development achievements under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, China's foreign policy, and the outcomes of China-Latin America cooperation, noting that the four global initiatives contribute Chinese solutions to world peace and development. China is ready to work with Grenada to continuously deepen practical cooperation in various fields and advance the building of a China-Latin America community with a shared future.

Hon. Dickon Mitchell warmly congratulated China on its National Day, praised China's tremendous development achievements under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, spoke highly of the four global initiatives and Latin America-China relations, and expressed his expectation to continuously deepen the traditional friendship and cooperation between Grenada and China.
