On September 30, 2026, the Chinese Embassy in Jamaica hosted the Reception for Celebrating the 77th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China. Ambassador Wang Jinfeng delivered the keynote speech, and Senator the Honourable Kamina Johnson Smith, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Jamaica, made warm remarks on behalf of the Jamaican Government.

Over 300 guests attended the event, including senior Jamaican officials, members of international organizations and the diplomatic corps, representatives of Chinese enterprises and the local Chinese communities.

The reception featured Chinese and Jamaican culture performances, interactive technology show, videos highlighting China’s development and China-Jamaica friendship, and a message board “China-Jamaica Friendship Wall”.
